The final 1000 Lancer Evo X Final Edition models are reserved for the Japanese market only (sorry American and European Lancer Evolution X enthusiasts), and will have a starting price of $35,800. Many of those owners were Lancer Evolution fans and they were teased by Mitsubishi with the reveal of a White pre-production 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition model #US0000. Visually, the Evo X Final Edition does not drastically different from the regular Evo models.

U.S. spec Final Edition

Like the Japanese spec Lancer Evolution Final Edition, the U.S. model will get sodium-filled exhaust valves, which Mitsubishi says will improve output at medium and high speed range. Outside, Final Edition will come with a special dark chrome front grille with a gloss black bumper bar and hood vent surrounds.

Mitsubishi announces the end of an era with the Lancer Evolution Final Edition.Mitsubishi is sending off the tenth-generation Lancer Evolution with a limited-edition model that's appropriately called Final Edition. Power is sent to all four wheels via an enthusiast-friendly, five-speed manual transmission and a sport-tuned version of Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) four-wheel drive system.

Executives have previously confirmed that Mitsubishi's next Evolution-badged model will be a high-performance off-roader, a move that reflects the company's shift towards an SUV-centric lineup.

At the same time, Mitsubishi also revealed the Lancer Evolution X Final Edition concept as a precursor to the last iteration of the iconic ‘EVO' series of road-going rally cars. In line with what was showcased, Mitsubishi has now started accepting pre-orders for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition in Japan. While it features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine as available on the concept, it isn't the same HKS-tuned version that develops 480PS of power! Other special bits include 18-inch BBS alloy wheels shod with 245/40 section rubber, Bilstein dampers with Eibach springs, and Brembo-brakes on all driven wheels.

More, if you pick the MR version of Lancer Evolution you will grasp twin-clutch SST transmission that ease you to switch from normal mode to sport mode to s-sport mode. 2015 Lancer Evolution model brings its driver; anti theft alarm system, airbag, and RISE body construction that can protect both driver and passenger from collision aftermath. According to Don Swearingen, Executive VP of Mitsubishi Motors North America, announced that the concept will hit show rooms by Summer of 2015.

The production model will include an upgraded turbo by HKS with a special performance intake system for maximum airflow. Other performance upgrades include adjustable suspension system with the support of forged aluminum wheels by Rays Engineering wrapped in Yokohama Advan Neovas Tires.

The Final Edition rides on 18-inch BBS alloy wheels fitted with 245/40 tyres all round. Externally, the limited run Evo gets Final Edition badging and a gloss black grille. The Final Edition will be available in five colours (red, grey, black, blue and white). Mitsubishi Australia will keep selling the Evo X alongside the Final Edition until stocks run out.

What we have here is a classic case of 'Good news' and 'Bad news' and of course an official version of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Final Edition. So say goodbye to the 473 HP of the concept and come meet the 291 HP, 406 Nm (300 lb-ft) Lancer Evolution X Final Edition. You guessed it, it has exactly the same power output as the regular Evo X, so nothing has changed from that perspective.

Exterior changes on the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Final Edition will include a new black chrome grille, a set of 18inch BSS wheels, the Final Edition badges and more. It is also estimated that the new and final Mitsubishi Lance Evo Final Edition will cost about $36,000.
